Australian ACNC Job Vacancies (Update)

Charities and not-for-profit (NFP) bodies play a central role in our society and improve the lives of all our citizens. As part of the 2011-12 Budget, the Commonwealth Government announced the first stage of an ambitious reform agenda for the NFP sector which includes establishing the ACNC.

The ACNC is the registrar and regulator of charities and NFPs and it starts its work as a new agency on 1 July 2012. It has been established to ensure that we have a strong and vibrant NFP sector in which the public can have trust and confidence. The ACNC will be initially responsible for charities and Public Benevolent Institutions, but over time it is anticipated this will be extended. ACNC staff will operate within ACNC values such as Independence, Integrity, Respect, Fairness and Accountability.

The ACNC and its staff will be located in Melbourne but will have a presence in Canberra to facilitate engagement with key stakeholders such as Government, not-for-profit-peak bodies and Commonwealth agencies.

Further details can be found on the ACNC website and YouTube Channel of the ACNC Taskforce.
