Salary Range
(annual): The Bank offers a competitive total compensation package with starting pay, based on qualifications, generally ranging between $44,207 and $52,008* (job grade 12).
*Where the Bank requires specialized skills, it may offer higher starting salaries to exceptional candidates.

Job Summary
Information Technology Services (ITS) is the primary information technology service provider for the Bank of Canada and, as such, facilitates the fulfillment of the Bank's mandate. ITS is a flexible, adaptive organization that aims to exceed client expectations for the provision of consistent, high-quality service. ITS partners with clients and suppliers to deliver automated business solutions and office tools. ITS also establishes and sustains the IT infrastructure necessary to support these solutions and tools. As an Executive Administrative Assistant in ITS, you provide a full range of administrative support to the ITS team, where you contribute to the successful delivery of the work unit’s daily activities.

Central Responsibilities
• provide a full range of administrative support and assistance to the team in daily activities
• provide the necessary administrative support to the management team for meetings, taking minutes as required and managing all logistics (e.g., organize meetings, book reservations, obtain or produce required materials, set up rooms)
• support and coordinate arrangements for meetings, and schedule appointments for managers
• create documents, spreadsheets, reports and PowerPoint presentations for the work unit
• participate in team meetings, write and circulate action items, and monitor follow-up on activities
• greet and provide assistance to both internal and external clients in support of good client relations
• ensure that required activities pertaining to staff/consultant hiring and departures are completed as required
• order and maintain inventory supplies
• recommend improvements to administrative processes

Key Requirements
• a minimum of a completed high-school diploma
• a minimum of three years of recent work experience as an administrative assistant working directly with management
• advanced technical computer skills with the following software: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• English and French essential
• linguistic requirement (minimum starting level): functional in second official language (training may be provided to help the selected candidate reach the required level of fully functional)
• ability to be flexible with changing priorities, to be self-motivated and to take initiative
• ability to maintain accuracy and provide special attention to detail, even as priorities change and urgencies intervene
• strong interpersonal and communication skills, including a facility to work and interact with individuals at all levels
• ability to plan and organize work efficiently and effectively
• ability to anticipate needs and react quickly in terms of arranging calendars, and ability to coordinate activities
• ability to work independently and in a team environment where mutual support is essential
• ability to draft routine correspondence and research information in English and French
• ability to respect confidentiality of information
• recognized ability to exercise sound judgment
