Aboriginal Hostels Limited (AHL) is the premier provider of temporary accommodation for Indigenous Australians. AHL facilities vary in size and focus. Located in almost all major centres across Australia. While some of facilities are designed for specific purposes most hostels can assist people who are in town, for a range of reasons.
AHL’s primary purpose is to provide Indigenous Australians with safe, comfortable, affordable and culturally sensitive accommodation. This accommodation enables Indigenous Australians to access essential services such as education, health, legal advice, training and employment that might not otherwise be available in their home communities.
Last year alone AHL provided more than 487,000 nights of
accommodation, almost three times that number of meals and countless
hours of meaningful support to Indigenous Australians.
