LG Optimus - Style Over Substance!

Since 1958, LG has led the way to an ever-more advanced digital era. With the advancement in technology throughout these years, expertise has lent itself to many new products and applied technologies. Moving forward into the 21st century, LG continues to grow, becoming the finest global electronics company.

LG ranks as one of the best brand in home appliance segment. Many Indian and International brands are making their way into the Indian market in the electronic segment. They are introducing new innovative and high genre technical mobiles to create goodwill among Indian customers. To remain in the league, LG quietly introduced a new series of mobile phones which mostly concentrates on its design. It believes that customers will buy only those products which look good and lives longer

Under the lg Optimus series, LG Optimus L7 assures a "new design language" and an affordable price tag. It has a 4.3-inch screen which is pretty good to touch and type. The design is not too different as compared to its old models. The handset is sleek and slim, coming in good 8.7mm. There are not many buttons on the body. Volume slider makes an appearance too. Charging is done through the micro USB slot and there's a 3.5mm headphone jack too. The camera rocks at 5MP Sensor with Flash. The backside of the phone has textured mesh finish. It is powered with Ice Cream Sandwich software and 1GHz processor, so don't have large expectation from LG Optimus L7 to finish all tasks. There are not much problems with the performance, but there is a slight delay during opening of the camera and juggling between applications which gets irritating. Entering text isn't too great on this handset - even though the keyboard is well spaced, one find difficulty in hitting the right keys. Camera is the best feature of the phone, though opening takes some time. Quick firing from shutter results in clear photos.
Video was a real let down. The handset takes it own sweet time to start recording and its playback is juddery and not too great. Few tit bit features were okay like the stretchy apps when you try to scroll beyond the final screen.

If LG wants to engage clients with Optimus L7, they need to sell it at a cheaper price as compare to other smartphones from Nokia, Samsung, Apple and HTC. The main attraction is Ice Cream Sandwich software and 4.3-inch screen

Being a super brand for home appliances, can LG create the same magic in mobile segment? We have to wait and watch!!
